Milo's personality and temperament are continuing to prove to be very sweet and excellent. He is a big suck and a true lover boy. He constantly rolls over for belly rubs and will swat at your arm if you dare think about stopping! He often comes to rest his head on our lap for pets too.

He is eating well - and for a beagle mix he has been selective on the types of treats he eats (usually beagles don't discriminate against anything edible - lol) so I find his occasional "pickiness" a little hilarious.

I've been holding his dish at meal time, and putting my hand right in while he eats - no problems there at all, no signs of guarding toys either. When Roxy and Jersey won't play with him - he loves to pick  up his tennis ball, roll it with his nose and then chase after it. I will try to get a video of that to post here, because it is just so darn cute!

We've been out for a few walks now (which he LOVES) and while he does the typical nose-to-the-ground hound-thing he has good leash manners and only needs occasional corrections. Last night, we took the dogs to a fenced in area and let them run wild...oh Milo was just tickled with pure joy! It was so much fun to watch him run, chase, jump and play with Roxy and Jersey.

During the day we have been crating him while we are at work. He runs into his crate to get his piece of cheese and we don't hear a peep from him when we leave. When we come home though, his blankets are usually kicked to the back of his crate and he usually starts to bark with excitment when he can hear that we're home.

We leave for work around 7:45. Mike come home for lunch every day to give the dogs a potty break and a run in the backyard for about 30-40 minutes. Milo goes back into his crate until we're home from work around 5:30. We attempted to trial him out for a few hours and we came home to some accidents (which he NEVER does when we're home) so I think for now while he's settling and adjusting, when we're not home we'll continue to crate.

Since we crate him during the day, we don't think its fair to crate him during the night and there is absolutely no need to. He enjoys cuddling with us on the bed, but when the lights go out, he retreats to his dog bed (in our room) and sleeps the night away there with no issues at all. We have to wake the lazy-butt up in the morning - I think he would prefer to sleep in a little longer :)
