Mini Spa Night

Tonight I noticed that Smokey was tilting his head funny to find things....when I looked a little closer I realized that the little guy needed a good trim around his eyes so he could see! I put him up on the counter and he let me cut the hair around his eyes no problemo! I figured since he was already on the counter I pulled out the clippers and did his nails too! Smokey is also great in the bath - usually he ends up in the tub every time we go to the dog park since he likes to splash and roll in the puddles. This guy is such a treat to foster, and I know some lucky family out there is going to be so thrilled with him as an addition!

Smokey & Pugsley

Smokey and Pugsley have really bonded this week. They like to play, romp and wrestle! They often enjoy napping side by side - but often Pugsley wakes Smokey up with his snoring.....and Smokey will wake Pugsley up when his long legs reach out to stretch and they tickle his back! lol.

We have had Smokey since July 1st and cannot believe he has not yet found his forever home!!!!

He is a loyal companion, he is affectionate, playful and is very well behaved.

We would love for Smokey to go to a home where there is another playful dog for him to be friends with OR to a moderately active home that likes to go for walks, hikes and visits the dog park. Smokey looooves to go out and about! He loves car rides, has beautiful leash manners and has an A++ personality.

Smokey has complete run of the house while we are at work with the other dogs. He also sleeps on his dog bed at night (which is right beside our bed) - although in the wee early hours of the morning, he likes to jump up quietly and curl in beside you.

Smokey will not disappoint and is absolutely the sweetest guy around. We are looking for a very special home, for this very special boy! Could that be you?

Smoke-A-Roni!

He likes to lay in my laundry piles.

Loooves going on car rides (short or long!). 

Likes to talk to us from the back seat :)

Loves to go on walks!

Enjoys it when we roll the car windows down our way back from the dog park so that he can dry off :) 

Clearly he has mastered his "I didn't do it" face. 

Loves spending time outdoors sun-tanning with his foster sisters.

Tanning is even better when he uses Jersey as a pillow!

When it's too hot he is sure to ask to come inside!



Fridaaaaaay!!!

Smokey says.....TGIF! He's looking forward to spending the day with other LOYAL humans & furries at the BBQ in Peterborough tomorrow!

A little more on Smokey....

Smokey has been here for 4 whole days already and it feels like we've had him forever! He just has such a great energy about him, it is evident he has been well loved, cared for and socialized with people and other pets.

He loves to hit the toybox in the morning and takes great pride selecting a 'treasure'.

He likes to put both paws on the tennis ball, but will eventually roll it towards you so that you'll throw it for him :)

Smokey and my 36 pounder, Jersey, have been having an absolute blast together. They romp, they chase, they mouth, they tug...When Jersey flips over on her back, Smokey is there pawing at her for more. We've had him at the dog park and he is wonderful there. A cute video clip of Smokey and Jersey playing in the backyard :)
