Punch & the Singing, Dancing, Puppy!

Okay, so Punch's previous family sent him home with some of his favourite toys. He hasn't shown much interest in playing lately however I pulled out the Singing, Dancing, Christmas Puppy last night and Punch was beyond excited! Take a look at the little video below (Roxy the "fun police" was on patrol and didn't like too much comotion going on in the kitchen so that is her letting out those barks in the beginning).

Punch at the Park

We decided to try Punch at the dog park in Manotick tonight! He was definitely game for new adventures :)

Punch takes a quick break from sniffing to watch a duck fly by!

For someone who hated my camera two days ago, he sure doesn't seem to mind saying cheese now!

I think the smile stayed on his face for the entire walk :) The park was really not that busy and I was looking forward to checking out his reaction to other furries. He did meet 2 large golden retrievers and exchanged a few quick sniffs, but it was clear he was a little nervous so we kept walking on.

We did have him on leash, however since he was literally following my footsteps I dropped the leash to see how he would do. Stuck to me like glue!

Sun & Smiles!

Friday night (and understandably so!) Mr. Punch was a little unsure of his new surroundings. While the door  was left open, he preferred the comfort of his crate.

Even in the morning with the bright light coming through the window, I wasn't sure if he would come out to say hello.

Of course, once he had his breakfast and a nice walk around the neighbourhood, Punch figured it wouldn't be so bad to explore the backyard.

And this is when the smiling started!!

The camera seemed a little scary at first, but as you can see - its looking like he was born to model :)

He actually has this funny underbite that he likes to show off once in awhile!

His smile gets so big sometimes it looks like he's laughing!

With all of the walking, sunny backyard adventures....and posing for the camera - Punch was happy to retreat inside after dinner for a nice long nap!

Welcome Punch!

Punch was surrendered to rescue because his family had a new baby and felt that they didn't have the time and attention to give him anymore...that he was so used to receiving. He really is a laid back, mellow guy that loves to be with his people. We're going to let Punch get settled in here, but please check back for updates!
